The concept behind the Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) is The Worker’s Right to Know about hazardous materials present in the workplace. Amphora has made it a priority that our employees and clients alike are fully aware of any hazardous chemicals being used within the facility. We have implemented Worker Education Programs that are intended to show our employees how to use the WHMIS labels, MSDS and other information, and to work with hazardous materials in a healthy and safe manner. We take our responsibility to educate our employees who work with or near hazardous materials very seriously.

Detailed manuals outlining Material Safety Data Sheets on all chemicals used by Amphora in the workplace are readily available at a defined location within Tenant/Owner(s) facilities at all times, for employees and clients alike. Training received by Amphora employees include the use of video tapes that have been prepared by the Government on the WHMIS program and trained instructors, to ensure the employees’ "Right to Know".

Chemicals brought in to the building will always be properly labeled to conform to outlined legislation.
